The Boka’s military past litters its seabed. This two-dive day trip for certified divers visits the Tihany — a Hungarian steamer built in 1908 and sunk in 1917 — and the Yugoslav patrol boat Patrol off Mamula island, both dressed in sponges and swarming with conger and bream. This one is for certified divers: two guided boat dives with tanks and weights included, and refreshments at the surface between them. The groups stay small and guided throughout — bring your certification card and logbook along with your usual kit preferences.

Life jackets were a bit tight, otherwise a decent afternoon on the water. Water was choppier than advertised so we spent less time snorkeling than planned. Kayaking along the cliffs at sunset was the highlight of our whole trip.
