The plateau ride
Around 90 minutes at a gentle pace across pasture and pine fringe.
See the Durmitor plateau the traditional way: from the saddle of a calm, sure-footed domestic mountain horse. The two-hour guided ride crosses open pasture with the massif on the horizon, at a walking pace suitable for complete beginners; short riding instruction is included. No riding experience is needed: instruction is included, the horses walk, and the wrangler keeps the group together. Wear long trousers and closed shoes with a small heel. Around ninety minutes in the saddle — long enough to feel it, short enough for first-timers.
