Skadar’s fishing villages have cooked the same menu for centuries — this long lunch serves it properly: smoked carp with polenta, eel from the reed channels, crispy bleak fritters and wild lake greens, matched with Vranac from the Crmnica hills you can see from the terrace. Best booked after a morning cruise. Allow 2.5 lazy hours and arrive with an appetite — three courses plus a glass of Vranac and a rakija welcome are included. Adventurous eaters get the most from the eel and the bleak fritters; the terrace, the stories and the wine carry everyone else.
