Three kilometres above Bar, the Novaković family has tended the same 80 trees since 1861. Walk the grove with them, join the net-and-rake harvest in season (or the pruning and pressing the rest of the year), then settle at the grove table for oils, tapenades, cheese and wine as the Adriatic glitters below. In autumn you actually work — nets, rakes and laughter — while visits the rest of the year swap harvest for pruning and pressing. Three hours with a tasting board and a glass of wine at the grove table; children take to the harvest surprisingly well.
