Nikšićko is Montenegro’s national beer, brewed under Trebjesa hill since 1908. On this pre-booked tour you walk the brewing floor from mash to bottling line, hear how a small garrison town became the country’s beer capital, and finish with a tap-pouring workshop and tasting flight. The visit runs ninety minutes and must be booked ahead — access is by arrangement rather than walk-in, which keeps the groups small. Beer drinkers get the obvious rewards of the tasting flight and pouring workshop; everyone else gets industrial history and a souvenir glass.

Interesting history, but the walking pace was slower than I'd like. The fortress views over the bay were breathtaking and the pace let us take photos.
